Mirayah Delamar’s masterful Beledi, drum solos, and veil work are inspired by the rich, passionate music and ancient rhythms of the Middle East and beyond. Her improvisation and group choreography with the Earth Angels bellydance troupe, embodies presence, beauty, celebration, and reverence for Life. Mirayah draws from a wide vocabulary of traditional and innovative movement, rooted in trance, sacred geometry, and a spiritual connection with the Divine Feminine.

Mirayah's ecstatic Dance of the Seven Veils, honors the harmonic cycles of seven, which permeate our existence. Arrayed in the 7 colors of the rainbow, she celebrates the 7 musical notes, the 7 chakras, the 7 year cycle of the human body's cellular regeneration, the 7 sisters of the Pleiades star system, and the 7 directions: North, South, East, West, Above, Below, and Within. God created the Earth in 6 days and then She rested on the seventh.
